Senior forward Hugh Lindo of Enfield culminated a brilliant four-year career by being named third-team Division III All-America by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The 6-foot-4 inch Lindo was the only selection from the Little East Conference and was one of New England’s three designated representatives. Lindo followed the path of former teammate Mike Garrow (2014) to NABC third-team All-America honors. As seniors, both were Little East Conference Player-of-the-Year selections, first-team NABC All-Northeast District, selections to the NABC/Reese’s Senior All-Star Game, and first-team D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region picks. The two are the only NABC All-Americas in program history and are among three All-America selections ever (Anthony Romano was named AP Little All-America as a senior in 1962-63). This past year, Lindo set personal season-highs in scoring (15.1) and rebounding (12.6) averages. In the LEC, he was first in rebounding average, fourth in field goal percentage (56.1) and fourth in block shot average (1.3). He ranked in a tie for third nationally in double-doubles (21) and sixth in rebounding.
