Men's Soccer: Four are Key Scorers as Warriors Dump Framngham State

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.- Four Eastern Connecticut State University players contributed multiple points that powered the Warriors past Framingham State University, 4-2, in a non-conference men's soccer match Wednesday afternoon at Maple Street Field.

Junior Griffin Luczek (Lee, NH), senior Justin Jensen (Wethersfield) and freshman  Patrick Agyemang (East Hartford) each had a goal and an assist, and freshman Will Toomey (Willington) contributed his third and fourth assists in two matches.

Luczek, coming off his first career hat trick Saturday in a 6-0 season-opening win at Medgar Evers College -- connected on the tie-breaking goal 15 minutes into the second half  on an assist from Will Toomey to give three-time All-Little East Conference  keeper Ryan Murphy (Cromwell) his 30th career win.

After outscoring Framingham 21-0 in three previous wins in the series, Eastern (2-0-0) appeared positioned for another systematic win when Jensen and

Agyemang – with his first career point -- lifted the Warriors into a 2-0 lead in the first 12 minutes. Framingham (2-1-0) scored its first two goals in the four-game series nine minutes apart to tie the score at the half, however.

Eastern regained the lead on Luczek's goal in the 60th minute, and freshman Joel Richards (Bridgeport) added insurance with five minutes left with his first career goal.

Eastern opens at home Friday at 4 p.m. when it hosts Gordon College in a non-conference match at Thomas Nevers Field.
