In a 2-2 week which included a Little East Conference home sweep, freshman utility player Morgan Bolduk of Vernon batted .500 (5-for-10) with a .545 on-base percentage as a first baseman and shortstop and was named LEC Rookie-of-the-Week for the third time. The righty appeared in three of the team’s four games as a pitcher with two complete games in two starts and a 1.71 ERA in 16 1/3 innings. She struck out 11 and walked three. In a sweep of UMass Boston, Bolduk won the first game with a complete-game four-hitter, fanning eight and walking one, then allowing no earned runs in 3 1/3 relief innings, giving up three hits as Eastern improved to 5-1 in the conference. In 20 games for the 11-14 Warriors, Bolduk is second on the team in batting (.400) and on the mound is 7-5 with a staff-leading 1.85 ERA, 54 strikeouts and 13 walks in 75 2/3 innings.
