In her first year in a starting role, sophomore guard Julie Jordan of Sterling was named to the Little East Conference All-Defensive Team as part of the conference's season-ending awards program. Jordan played only 36 total minutes as a freshman but averaged 33.1 minutes this past year, when she used her quickness, jumping ability and tenacity to shut down the opponent’s top scorer and at only 5-foot-3 inches, averaged 6.4 rebounds – second only to first-team All-LEC forward Mya Villard. Jordan averaged 8.4 points, and among regulars, a team-leading 78.8 free throw percentage and among regulars was second only to Villard with a 47.3 field goal percentage. She was also second on the team with 42 steals. In the LEC tournament win over Western Connecticut, she limited national three-point leader and second-team All-LEC guard Jancy Sherwood to one three-pointer on nine attempts and 5-of-16 shooting overall and 12 points after Sherwood had torched Eastern in late January with 26 points in 19 minutes at Geissler Gymnasium.
