Senior midfielder Aly Clarke of Mystic had back-to-back two-goal matches against Little East Conference opponents in a 4-3 road win over UMass Boston and 4-3 overtime road loss at Castleton University. Ranked in a tie for second in the LEC with nine goals, Clarke scored the first goal in the third minute and game-winning goal in the 81st minute against UMass Boston and gave the Warriors an early 2-0 lead with two goals in the first 16 minutes against Castleton. It was Clarke’s third two-goal game of the year and fourth in the last two seasons. On the week, Clarke scored four of the team’s seven goals and took nearly half (16) of its 36 shots. In six conference matches this year, Clarke has seven goals on 24 shots and an assist. She shares second place in the LEC with nine goals overall. After going scoreless in her first two college seasons – the first at Division II Southern Connecticut – Clarke has 19 goals and two assists in her last 33 matches at Eastern.
