Freshman Megan Lasto Repeats as NEISDA's Top Swimmer

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Eastern Connecticut State University freshman Megan Lasto (Orange) repeated as NEISDA Swimmer of the Week following her performance last Saturday at the Louise Goodrum Invitational, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

At the non-scoring meet which included seven schools, Lasto won three individual  events, teamed with her two sisters and junior Amber Albe (Wallingford) on the victorious 200 medley relay, and also took a second.

Lasto claimed the 50 and 100 butterfly and 100 individual medley and also swam the anchor on the 200 medley relay. She was also second in the 100 breaststroke.

Monday, Lasto also repeated honors as the Little East Conference Swimmer and Rookie-of-the-Week.

Lasto began her career Oct. 27 by winning the University of Saint Joseph Pentathlon. In four career meets, Lasto has already recorded one of the Top 10 times in program history in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.92), 50 butterfly (28.84), 100 butterfly (1:03.79), 100 IM (1:06.87) and 200 IM (2:20.96). Her time in the 200 IM ranks third all-time.
