Junior Haley Knox of Bristol ran second for the Warriors for the third time in three meets this year, placing among the top 40 percent in a strong field of 283 finishers Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford. Knox, who ran 5-6 as a sophomore, came in just six seconds behind team leader Kassandrah Banks as the top three Eastern finishers crossed the finish line within ten seconds of each other.Knox was timed in 25:00 over 6,000 meters, running a pace of 6:43. A number of the top teams in New England competed in the race, among them Tufts, Middlebury and Brandeis, which placed 3-4-6 in last year's New England Regional Championship.
