LAS VEGAS – Freshman Jordyn Nappi (Southington) and sophomore Erin Brooks (Billerica, MA) had career-highs in points and sophomore Jill Ritrosky (Pittsfield, MA) in rebounds as the Eastern Connecticut State University women's basketball team routed Marywood University, 83-40, Monday night at the Centenniel Hills Community Center.

A winner of three straight and four of five, Eastern (7-3) scored the first nine points and 17 of the first 19 on the way to a 24-point, 40-16 halftime lead.

Nappi led Eastern and shared game-high scoring with 21 points, hitting ten of 14 field goals.  Brooks improved on Sunday afternoon's previous career-high point total with 16 points and Ritrosky bettered Sunday's career-high rebound total of 18 with 19 in sending Marywood (7-3) to its third straight loss.

Sophomore Brianna Leonard (Amherst, MA) had nine points and nine rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench in her second game back after sitting out three with injury.

Senior guard Brittany Mang shared game-high scoring honors with Nappi with 21 points but was the only Marywood starter to reach the scoring column. The team's other four starts were a combined 0-of-26 from the floor and did not attempt a free throw.

Eastern was coming off Sunday's 67-60 win over Gwynedd Mercy College, while the Pacers dropped a 73-49 decision to No. 3 nationally-ranked Amherst College Sunday. The Warriors had lost to Amherst, 58-44, Dec. 5 and the Pacers had  beaten Gwynedd Mercy, 80-78, Dec. 4.

The Warriors shot a season-high 47.7 percent from the floor and were 15-of-19 from the foul line against Marywood and doubled the Pacers' rebounding total with a 64-32 advantage on the boards.

Marywood shot 22.9 percent from the floor (1-of-14 from "three") and was 7-of-15 from the foul line.

Eastern returns to Little East Conference action Saturday at 1 p.m. at Plymouth State University.
