Box Score SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Eastern Connecticut State University men's basketball team outscored SUNY Cobleskill by 17 points over a six minute span in the first half and ended a three-game streak with a 113-63 victory Sunday afternoon in the consolation game of the 31st Sig Makofski Tournament, hosted by Union College at the Viniar Athletic Center.

Tarchee Brown (Rockville) combined on 16-of-19 shooting for 37 first-half points as Eastern (2-4) raced to a 47-point, 68-21 halftime lead as Cobleskill (0-5) remained winless.
The Warriors connected on ten of 13 three-point field goals in the first half and finished with 15 three-pointers (two shy of the record) and a 65.2 shooting percentage behind the arc. The Warriors were 41-of-70 (58.6 percent) from the floor in the game.

Brown and Lindo played a combined three minutes in the second half. Brown led all players with 23 points (9-of 11 FG), with freshman point guard

Hugh Lindo (at right) added to his considerable portfolio with another slam dunk on a steal and breakaway eight minutes into Sunday's 50-point win over SUNY Cobleskill which helped the Warriors to an early 18-point lead.
Brown, who led Eastern Saturday with 23 points (9-for-19 FG), represented Eastern on the all-tournament team.
Brown scored 19 of his points against Williams in the first half, sparking the Warriors to a five-point halftime lead. Against Williams, Brown scored 17 of his 19 points – all but two eight of the team's 25 -- in the first 11 minutes, seven straight Eastern points early in the game on a three-pointer, breakaway off a steal and jumper and later in the half ten straight Eastern points on a drive, two free throws, baseline stop-and-pop, jumper off an inbounds pass, and another catch-and-shoot jumper.
Early in the first half against Cobleskill, Brown tossed in 11 of the team's 14 points in a two-minute span by sinking three three-pointers and adding two more on a drive. He played only the first minute of the second half against Cobleskill without taking a shot. Brown moved to within 72 points of 1,000 in his career. He has averaged 16.0 points in his first 58 games.
Lindo had 21 points and 17 rebounds in the tournament, moving to within 47 rebounds of becoming the program's all-time leader and within 92 of 1,000 career points.
Eastern opens its Little East Conference season Saturday at the University of Southern Maine at 3 p.m.
