MANSFIELD, Conn. – Eleven different players contributed to the scoring as the Eastern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team won its first Little East Conference and first home match with its 20
th consecutive win over Rhode Island College, 25-4, Thursday evening at Rick McCarthy Field.
The conference team leader in goals, assists and points per match, Eastern (6-4, 1-2 LEC) recorded its third match this year of at least 20 goals with its season-high in goals in a match this year. The 38 points are three shy of the match record set against Rhode Island College (1-5, 0-2 LEC) 12 years ago.

Emma Alford (West Hartford) made three saves to post her first collegiate win. Alford gave way to first-year goalie
Madeline Horkey (Montville) with Eastern leading 19-1 with six minutes left in the third quarter.
Senior midfielder Natalie Kulacz and sophomore attack Maddie Kross each scored twice for Rhode Island, with senior midfielder Olivia Carpenito winning five draws and junior midfielder Ashley Rewers four.
Eastern visits Castleton University Saturday at 4 p.m. in a conference match. The Spartans (1-9, 0-2 LEC) dropped their fifth straight Wednesday, 13-9 to visiting Mount Saint Mary. The Warriors have won all seven matches in the series with Castleton, all by double-digits.
