MANSFIELD, Conn. – Junior
Kaylee Drobish (Wallingford) scored seven goals, won nine draws and picked up four ground balls to pace the Eastern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team to a 26-2 Little East Conference victory over Rhode Island College Tuesday afternoon at Rick McCarthy Field.
Now 22-1 all-time against Rhode Island (1-12, 0-4), Eastern (4-8, 2-2 LEC) evened its conference record with matches remaining against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (7-5, 1-3 LEC), and unbeaten conference co-leaders defending LEC champion Western Conn. (11-2, 4-0 LEC) and last year's LEC playoff runner-up Plymouth State University (8-5, 4-0 LEC).
Now 3-3 at home, Eastern scored the first six goals over the first eight minutes and coasted to its second straight win following a five-game losing streak. The Warriors scored the final 19 goals of the match, holding the Anchorwomen off the board over the final 49 minutes.
Sophomore
Abby Parisi (Fairfield) won a career-high ten draws to help the Warriors to a 25-7 advantage in that department. Senior

Emma Oliano (Wallingford) chipped in three goals and three assists.

Emma Alford (West Hartford) stopped five shots and left with Eastern leading, 17-2 at halftime. First-year player
Madison Corbeil (Groton) made one save over a scoreless second half in her goal-keeping debut. Despite the lopsided results, Rhode Island senior goalie Shannon O'Connell was stellar in net, making 13 of her 17 saves in the first half on 36 Eastern shots.
Vizzini, last week's LEC Rookie-of-the-Week, is ranked eighth in the Little, reaching 30 goals on the season in the match and finishing the game by scoring her team-leading 34
th.
