- Despite losing its first LEC match of the season to the three-time defending LEC champions, Eastern, unofficially, needs only a win or tie in its LEC regular-season finale at home Wednesday against Rhode Island College to secure the No. 1 playoff seed and its first outright regular-season championship since posting its third of three straight top seeds in 2017. The Warriors shared regular-season titles most recently in 2017 and 2018. Four of Eastern's nine LEC regular-season titles have been outright. RIC (9-6-0, 4-3-0 LEC) is 1-4-0 in its last five matches and is coming off Saturday's 1-0 home loss to VTSU Castleton (6-10-0, 2-4-0 LEC).
- The loss ended string of three straight shutout wins this year and stopped a season-high four-game win streak. Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Ignatowicz (Coventry) was called upon to make ten saves -- her second-highest total of the year and only the second time she has called upon for ten or more.
