Men's Soccer: Warriors and Owls Clash in Little East Conference Opener

Series history: Eastern men's soccer kicks off its 2025 Little East Conference schedule against long-time rival Keene State College this at 1 p.m. This will be the 51st time these teams face off, and the 35th time since Eastern transitioned from a college to a university.   In 1963, Keene Normal School became Keene State College, while Eastern Connecticut State College became Eastern Connecticut State University in 1983. In their first meeting as ECSU and Keene State College in 1997, Keene State took home the 1-0 victory. ECSU's longest win streak against Keene State since 1997 has been three games. The last win ECSU claimed against Keene State came by score of 1-0 in the first round of the Little East playoffs in 2022 at Nevers Field in Willimantic, with Larson Richards scoring in the 15th minute on a PK after being taken down in the box.

Impact Players:
Dominick Bugnacki (Jr., F): The transfer from Western New England University has quietly been making a name for himself with 2 goals and 8 shots through 4 games so far this season, including one that, despite the loss, prevented the Warriors' second shutout in as many games with a late goal against Coast Guard.

Yahya Kardad (So., F): The Albertus Magnus transfer has played a key role so far this season, leading the team in goals (3), total points (12), shots (12), and shots on goal (6). Kardad could be a deciding factor in the outcome of this game.

Jack Harmon (So., G): The New Jersey native will get his first Little East Conference start Saturday in his fifth start of the season. He will need to be on his A-game for this match, as his counterpart, Eldin Husanovic, leads the conference in goals against average (0.25), only allowing 1 goal through 4 games.
