Series History:
- 89th meeting all-time, dating back to 1983/84, Eastern owns all time series lead, 72-24
- The first meeting between the teams came in the 1976-77 season. Eastern was the home team and won 58-40. The Warriors were 10-1 in their first 11 games against the Corsairs
- Eastern is 4-6 in its last ten games against UMD. Its last win against the Corsairs came in the 2022-23 season, but has dropped four straight since then. In the two meetings last season, UMass Dartmouth won 84-42 at UMD's Tripp Athletic Center, and 75-54 at Geissler Gym
- In last year's game at Dartmouth, MA, the Corsairs outscored the Warriors in every quarter, limiting Eastern to just six points in the first. UMass Dartmouth had five different players score 11+ points, none of whom have returned this year
- In last year's game at Geissler Gym, the Corsairs again outscored the Warriors in all four quarters, but never by more than seven points. Current assistant coach and last year's grad student Carly Whiteside's double-double (24 points & 10 rebounds) powered the Corsairs to a 21-point win on the road. Kya Mayo and Taylor Salato of Eastern scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, but none of the three aforementioned players returned this year
Game Notes:
- UMass Dartmouth finished the 2024-25 season with a 23-5 record, going 14-2 in the conference. The Corsairs dominated Southern Maine in the Little East Conference championship, 94-50. Grad student Jane McCauley had 32 points on 11-14 shooting from the field
- In the first round of the Division III NCAA Tournament last year, the Corsairs were defeated by the Bantams of Trinity College, 59-56, in New York
- Eastern finished the 2024-25 season 11-15, with a 10-6 conference record. In the first round of the LEC, the host Warriors lost to Keene State, which was then eliminated by UMD in the semifinals
- UMD has played two nationally-ranked teams this year, losing to current No. 4 Smith College, 83-38, and current No. 12 Bates College, 74-51, with the latter game occurring this past Saturday at Dartmouth, MA
- The Warriors look for their first home win of the season in four games and the Corsairs their first road victory after five losses
- Eastern's Marissa Nudd shares third place in the LEC in scoring (16.9). She is also the only player in the conference to have played over 400 minutes (404)
- The Corsairs are led in scoring by grad student Yasmine Santos. The guard/forward averages 14.6 ppg.
- Liv Cassesse of Eastern is second in the LEC in total assists (44), while UMD's Kaila Pruitt's three-point percentage of 42.6 is third-best; Nudd ranks fifth in rebounds per game (7.6)
- UMass Dartmouth ranks second in the LEC in three-point field goal percentage (32.2) but eighth in overall field goal percentage (36.3). Eastern has limited its opponents to an LEC-best 24.2 three-point percentage.

The Warriors head on the road for a pair of Little East Conference matchups against Keene State and Plymouth State -- the conference's two New Hampshire-based opponents. The Keene State game will take place at Spaulding Gymnasium in Keene, NH on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Owls are 8-4 on the season and 2-1 in the conference under 34
th-year head coach Keith Boucher.
Eastern's meeting with Plymouth State is a noon tip-off on Saturday at Foley Gymnasium. After finishing 5-20 (1-15 LEC) a year ago, the Panthers are 8-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play under third-year head coach Curtis Arsenault. This Tuesday, Plymouth will host Keene State at 5 p.m.
