Women's Lacrosse: Warriors Look for First Win in Home-Opener vs. Blue Jays

Game Notes: 
  • Kailey Krusewski (USJ) and Maeve Gunning (ECSU) played alongside each other at Newington High School, and will now play against each other for the first time in college  
  • Eastern's Grace Saldaña and Neely Hart, and Saint Joseph's Anna LeGault made history together at Bacon Academy in 2021, defeating Ledyard in the Division 2 girls lacrosse championship game for the first ever lacrosse state title in school history 
  • Eastern's Ella Huard and Noelle Castonguay, and Saint Joseph's Mia Peters won back-to-back conference titles together at Southington High School 
  • Eastern's Alexa Vizzini became the eighth player in program history to score 200 career points when she scored the first goal of the 2026 season against Coast Guard midway through the second quarter Starting the match in their Eastern debut in the opener against Coast Guard were Assumption College transfer Huard and freshman Molly Page.  
  • Eastern defeated USJ, 18-5, at West Hartford last year to post its third of five straight season-opening wins. Twelve different players contributed points for Eastern, with the Warriors piling up a 19-7 advantage in draws.
