Last year, the teams met on April 16 in a game played on Memorial Field in Amherst, MA. The Mammoths defeated the Warriors 9-3, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 9-2 lead. Four of the five Amherst runs were scored on walks, including the first three runs of the sixth. Jack Sampedro doubled to left center, driving in three runs later in the inning
In the win over Amherst in 2015, Warriors' head coach Mike Odenwaelder opened the scoring for the Mammoths with an RBI single. Eastern scored four in the bottom of the seventh, winning 6-2
