WILLIMANTIC, Conn. –
Elizabeth Mitchell (Coventry) was named First Team All-Region as a pitcher in her sophomore season, having been named the Little East Conference Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-LEC for the second consecutive year on Thursday. As a first team selection, Mitchell is eligible for All-America honors, which will be announced next week.
Last season, she was named Second Team All-Region, along with utility player
Maddy Bowen (Hudson, NH). This becomes the sixth consecutive year the Warriors have had a pitcher receive All-Region honors. Mitchell joins a pitcher from Springfield College and two from Worcester Polytechnic Institute as the only four pitchers to be named to the First Team in Region II. A total of 13 players were named to the First Team and 38 were named first, second, or third team in the region.
Last week, she became Eastern's first repeat Pitcher of the Year since Molly Rathbun won the award from 2010-2012 as Mitchell led the Warriors to a 23-18 (10-6 LEC) record in the 2026 season. Under 25

Diana Pepin, the Warriors qualified for the Little East Conference Playoffs as a #4 seed and went 1-2 in the double-elimination tournament, defeating third-seeded Plymouth State University by a score of 3-2 in Eastern's second game.
In 28 appearances as a pitcher, Mitchell started 19 games and pitched 17 complete games, including five shutouts, five saves, and a record of 12-8. In 137.2 innings, she allowed 126 hits, 38 walks, and had 112 strikeouts with an ERA of 2.08. As a hitter, Mitchell had a .351 batting average, with 16 RBIs, 25 runs, and two home runs.
