BRUNSWICK, Maine - Eastern Connecticut men's golf sits in fourth after the first day of the 16-team Bowdoin Invitational in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday (Sept. 26).
The Warriors shot a team score of 594 (301-293) in 36 holes of play on Day One of the tournament. Sitting at +18 as a team, Eastern sits six strokes back of Tufts, who is +12 (588) as a team. New York University (589, +13) and Trinity (Conn.) (592, +16) sit ahead of Eastern.
Eastern shot 301 in the first round of the tournament, before cutting eight strokes off their team score in the second round to climb the leaderboard.
Jacob Carlson shot 146 (71-75, +2) and sits in a tie for seventh as Eastern's best finisher.
Jack Marques is tied for 24
th with a score of 149 (72-77, +5).
Drew Johnson (79-72-151, +7), Ethan McDowell (79-73-152, +8) and
Ryan O'Donnell (80-73-153, +9) round out the line up for the Warriors.
