ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC)

 

 

Anna Barry / Andover

Women’s Basketball and Volleyball

Sophomore

"I got involved with SAAC to have the chance to be more involved with athletics at Eastern. I want to be part of the discussion about how to help athletes at Eastern."

"I hope to be more involved with the community through SAAC events and contribute to ideas about how to make being an athlete at Eastern as manageable as possible."

 

 

Kyle Boutot / Tolland

Men's Soccer

"I got involved with SAAC because I wanted to be able to connect our student athletes and non-student athletes. I also want to help welcome any freshmen with any college issues."

"Personally, I hope to connect with new students around our campus and engage in our surrounding community. I also hope to be a good spokesperson for my team."

“I got involved in SAAC to help voice my opinion in the sports community at Eastern, as well as be a voice for Eastern's track & field team.

“I personally hope to make myself a better leader. I hope that the SAAC group can help voice the voices of athletes around the campus to help us grow and make us better as a whole.”

“I got involved with SAAC to be an outlet for any issues or thoughts that come up throughout the year."

“I hope to gain some knowledge from the other reps about their sports team’s thoughts and experiences. I also want to make a difference by speaking up about any issues that may arise.

“I got involved in SAAC because my fellow teammate Sam Gagnon has been involved in it and mentioned it was a great time. I was very interested and wanted to be apart of a group with other athletes at Eastern.”

“I hope to successfully help out all student athletes at Eastern this year along with helping out the Willimantic community.”

"I hope to participate in events for the community, and be a part of the planning process. I hope to learn more about Eastern athletics, and learn about other people in this community."

 "I got involved with SAAC not really knowing what it was beforehand. So I joined to see what it was all about."

 "I hope to accomplish making a difference not only in the student athlete community but the Windham community too. Last year we did a lot with the community and I think it’s a great thing to do and I hope we continue to make a difference within our club!"

“I got involved in SAAC because I thought it was a good way to interact and communicate with the other teams on campus.

“This year, I hope to help the communication between athletes and administration, creating a greater sense of community within our athletics department”

"I have been part of SAAC for three years now and I really like what it’s about and it’s core values!"

"I hope to help out with getting stoles for the seniors. I think it’s really important that the athletes are individualized in a way at graduation. I also hope to bring teams together with SAAC and help out as many athletes as I can!"

"I got involved with SAAC because I wanted to be a part of the voice of the student-athletes at Eastern, and to help get our sports teams more involved in events in the community."

"I hope to reach out and help more people in the community with different projects, and become more engaged in the issues and ideas within our own Eastern athletics community."

"I got involved with SAAC because I like the idea of all of the sports teams being a close unit, who are always on the same page and working together to be the best we can all be."

"I hope that this year in SAAC we can bring all of our sports teams here at Eastern closer together as well as give back to our community."
