Chris Wojick
'11 was named pitching coach by head coach Brian Hamm in August of 2018, returning to the program after seven seasons in a similar capacity at Wesleyan University. In 2022, he was given associate head coach responsibilities in addition to his role as pitching coach.

Under Wojick in 2021, the staff led the Little East Conference in shutouts, strikeouts and lowest opposing batting average and was second in earned-run average. Individually, Josh Vincent led the conference in ERA, and Vincent and Bill Oldham ranked 2-3 in strikeouts and were two of the top ten in lowest opposing batting average. In Wojick's first season in 2019,  the staff was ranked first in the conference in strikeout-to-walk ratio, second in earned-run average and strikeouts per game, tied for second in least home runs allowed and third in least earned runs allowed and least walks allowed. The year before he arrived, in 2018, Eastern pitching ranked in the middle of the pack in the conference in ERA  and opposing batting average.

At Wesleyan, the Uncasville native helped the Cardinals to consecutive 30-win seasons (only the second and third 30-win campaigns in program history) that resulted in NCAA regional tournament berths in 2014 and 2015 under head coach Mark Woodworth. Wesleyan won a total of six games in those two NCAA regionals, four coming when they reached the championship round of the Moosic, PA regional in 2014. His pitching staffs at Wesleyan compiled three of the top four team ERA marks in program history, including a record 2.70 in 2015.

During Wojick's tenure at Wesleyan, five players went on to sign professional baseball contracts.

"Chris is one of the premier pitching coaches in New England college baseball because of his knowledge and ability to develop top pitchers in a healthy and positive way," says Hamm. "He is outstanding managing a pitching staff tactically during games and through a season. He is a great role model for all of our players because he embodies the character, work ethic, and passion of Eastern Baseball and he cares deeply about his alma mater.”

After spending three semesters at the University of Maine and Marist College, Wojick transferred to Eastern in the spring of 2008, helping the Warriors to four straight NCAA tournament berths, two Little East Conference regular-season and one LEC tournament championship. Wojick appeared in at least 20 games in each of his first three seasons before moving into a role as a spot starter and reliever as a senior captain in 2011. As a freshman, the right-hander was named third-team All-New England Region and second-team All-LEC with a 2-1 record, six saves and a staff-best 1.49 ERA in a team-high 20 appeareances. The save total remains the second-highest in a season by a freshman in program history.

In Wojick's career, Eastern led the LEC in team ERA each season. Wojick appeared in 74 games (currently second-most all-time) with a 13-7 record, 4.13 ERA and eight saves in 135.0 innings.

Wojick holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.
