Now in his second season, Marc Senia was named head coach of the men's golf program in the summer of 2022, returning to the coaching staff after spending four seasons between 2014 and 2017 as infield coach with the Eastern baseball program.

"Eastern has a strong foundation of athletics and I looked upon this as a new challenge," said Senia. "I love the game and it was a new opportunity." A native of South Windsor, Senia was an avid golfer growing up, competing in numerous junior tournaments and being involved in the junior golf program at his home course, Ellington Ridge.

Inheriting a young but talented team in the program's third intercollegiate season in 2022-23, Senia directed the Warriors to a second straight LEC championship with a 16-stroke win over Castleton University, and with it, their first berth in the NCAA Division III National Championships. For his efforts, Senia was voted LEC Coach-of-the-Year. In addition, Eastern matched its previous year's seventh-place finish at the 87th New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships in the fall of 2022.

Individually in 2022-23, junior Ashton Lewis won his second straight LEC title and was named All-New England (by finishing second at NEIGA), All-Region 1 and honorable mention PING All-America by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). He was joined on the All-Region team by teammate Jonah Dupuis, who finished second in the LEC Championships last fall.

Senia is a 2002 graduate of Wheaton College, where he was a member of four straight conference regular-season and tournament championship baseball teams -- serving as a senior captain -- that competed in three NCAA and one ECAC tournament.

Senia holds a B.A. in American History from Wheaton.

Marc and Yelena (Eastern Class of 2001) Senia reside in South Windsor with young sons Lucas and Landon.
