Former two-year varsity letterwinner, Dr. Adam Phaiah '05, returns to the staff as an assistant coach under 14th-year head coach Greg DeVito.
Dr. Phaiah, co-director of the Eastern Youth Soccer Camps, has served as an administrative assistant with the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association in Farmington and formerly served on the coaching staff of the U-14 boys’ Northeast United Premier Soccer Club.
Having secured a USSF “C” national coaching license, Dr. Phaiah holds an Associate’s Degree in Physical Education from Mitchell College, a B.S. Degree in Physical Education with a minor in Sport and Leisure Management and an M.S. Degree in Educational Technology, both from Eastern. In 2018, he completed a PhD. program at Southern Connecticut, and currently serves as an adjunct professor in the kinesiology & physical education department at Eastern. Dr. Phaiah teaches health and physical education in the Stonington Public School system and resides in Noank with wife Jennifer and twin sons Landon and Blake.
A native of Danielson, Dr. Phaiah appeared in 34 of a possible 39 matches under former head coach Frantz Innocent as a midfielder and defender in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, starting ten. He came to Eastern after a two-year career at Mitchell College.
Coach DeVito on Coach Phaiah: “Coach Phaiah is a huge reason for the success of our program. He handles many of the behind the scenes functions that make our program what it is. As a former Warrior, Coach Phaiah will do whatever it takes to get our program to the next level.”
