Allison Surian returns to the staff of head coach Sarit Gluz.
As a four-year member of the Roger Williams University swim program through 2020, Surian was a two-time NEISDA champion and 14-time All-NEISDA qualifier (top eight) in helping the Hawks to NEISDA Championship titles during her freshman and senior seasons and to two second-place finishes.
As a senior, the Burlington native and high honors student won NEISDA titles in the 200 backstroke (2:08.09) and as the lead swimmer in the backstroke with the 400 medley relay (4:01.16). That year, she was also named All-NEISDA in the 100 backstroke (3
rd) and 50 backstroke (7
th) and with the 400 freestyle relay (2
nd) and 800 freestyle relay (3
rd).
In her career, the two-year team captain achieved All-NEISDA recognition in ten individual events and with four relays. She was a four-time All-NEISDA honoree in the 200 backstroke and a two-time honoree in the 100 backstroke.
As a member of the National Honor Society at Lewis Mills High School, Surian earned All-State recognition in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Surian graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. Degree in biology and chemistry and is working toward her M.S. Degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Connecticut.
