WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Olivia Johnson and Hannah Sprague stopped Eastern Connecticut State University on five hits and Thomas More University put up runs in four consecutive innings to post a 7-2 verdict over the Warriors Tuesday afternoon at Diamondplex.

Coming off an 8-1 over Washington College (Md.) Tuesday morning, Eastern (4-2) managed multiple hits in only one inning. Morgan Bolduk's (Vernon) leadoff home run in the top of the third tied the game before the Saints (2-3) answered with two in the bottom of the inning on Andrea Gahan's two-run home run to take the lead for good. Thomas More tacked on another on Mary Beth Odom's leadoff homer to center in the fourth and two unearned runs in the fifth.

A double steal scored freshman Brooke Matyasovsky (Orange) for the first run of the game in the second inning. Matyasovsky had opened with a walk, was sacrificed to second by Jackie Lewis (Waterford) and advanced to third on freshman Laura Zenk's (Harmon, ME) single. The Saints went ahead, 2-1, on an opening error and two hits before Bolduk's drive tied the game.

Alexis Tyrrell (Torrington) had two of Eastern's hits but was the Warriors' only multiple hitter.
