Joe Banas returns to the coaching staff of Diana Pepin, having served as a director of operations/assistant coach throughout his undergraduate years.
A mainstay on the staff as a volunteer throughout his undergraduate career, the Ludlow, MA native has been involved in all aspects of the program from administrative work, to scouting and recruiting, practice and game preparation, setup and breakdown. As a senior, he was presented with the Jeff Anderson Memorial Award for his commitment to the program, as well as the Morrell Service Award for his contributions to the department as a whole.
A member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), Banas' softball resume also includes working with the Central Massachusetts Xplosion 18u program and assisting with catchers' clinics with the Elite U12 & U15 programs.
A Dean's List student, Banas earned his B.S. Degree in Health and Physical Education in the spring of 2023 and is pursuing a career in athletic administration or coaching.
