Shamus Mclean joins the staff of second-year head coach Kyle Gallo as an assistant coach.
Mclean will work with both the men’s and women’s golf programs, focusing primarily on the men’s team.
A native of Groton, McLean brings experience in the field of athletics through his time at Advantage Personal Training in Niantic, where he spent October of 2022 through July of 2024.
Mclean played four years of collegiate golf at Mitchell College, earning All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) recognition every season. Having twice first-team honors, Mclean placed third as a a a senior in the 2024 GNAC Championships. He was named the 2024-25 Mitchell Athlete-of-the-Year and received an athletic academic award in 2021.
Mclean graduated from Mitchell College in 2025 with a B.S. Degree in Sport Management
