Aly ClarkeAly Clarke returns to the staff as a volunteer assistant coach under first-year head coach Sarah Tompkins.

“I am excited to have Aly back within the program," says Tompkins. "Aly brings a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective being an alum of the program. Her work ethic and leadership as a player make her a great role model for our student-athletes.”

Clarke was a three-year member of the program from 2016 through 2018, earning first-team All-Little East Conference honors and leading the team in scoring in each of her two starting seasons.
 
A Mystic graduate and former area Player-of-the-Year at Fitch Senior High, Clarke was one of two Eastern players to start all 18 matches as a senior captain in 2018 when she led Eastern with 11 goals (four of them game-winners), 24 points and 1,444 minutes played and was part of the program when it captured 27 consecutive (25-0-2) LEC regular-season matches. At Eastern, all three of her teams finished with at least a share of the LEC regular-season title, compiling a three-year LEC regular-season record of 18-2-2. In her 53-match career, she totaled 21 goals and 47 points, with seven game-winning goals.
 
A Dean’s List student every semester, Clarke qualified for the LEC All-Academic Team in both years of eligibility and was an Eastern Outstanding Scholar-Athlete recipient in her senior season of eligibility. She was a two-year member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as president as a senior.  At Eastern, she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi, PSY Ci and Chi alpha Sigma honor societies.
 
Clarke has played with the Southeast Soccer Club and Farmington Soccer Association and currently serves as head coach with Southeast.
 
Clarke holds a B.S. Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Development and is certified in Early Childhood Education, having graduated Summa Cum Laude.  She teaches kindergarten at Oakdale Elementary School and resides in Niantic.
