Matt Lizon returns to the staff of head coach Megan Droesch
Since 2016, Lizon has been coaching with Husky Volleyball Club, serving as a head coach and assistant coach for High Performance teams. From 2020 through 2022, Lizon served as assistant varsity and head junior varsity coach for the girls’ and boys’ programs at South Windsor High-School, with the varsity teams qualifying for state tournament play each season.
As an undergraduate, Lizon competed in club volleyball at the University of Connecticut, helping lead the program to its first-ever National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) regional championship in 2019. He was named to the region all-tournament team in each of his final three seasons.
A native of Farmington, Lizon was a three-year member of the varsity team at Farmington High School, earning All-State recognition as a senior captain in 2016 and All-Central Connecticut Conference (CCC) mention as a junior and senior. He was a junior member of the team which reached the CCC finals.
