Box Score WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Freshman guard Jordyn Nappi (Southington) scored a career-high 23 point and sophomore forward Jill Ritrosky (Pittsfield, MA) had her eighth double-double of the season with 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as the Eastern Connecticut State University women's basketball team won its seventh game in its last eight outings with a 75-64 Little East Conference victory over the University of Southern Maine Saturday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.

With the win, Eastern (11-4, 4-1 Little East) exceeded its entire win total of last year and defeated defending conference champion Southern Maine (9-6, 2-3 Little East) for the first time in the last four meetings.
Nappi scored 18 of her game-high points in the first half when she was 7-of-10 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. Ritrosky had 14 points and seven rebounds in the second half when the Warriors match baskets after moving out to a 13-point, 35-22 halftime lead. Sophomore post Erin Brooks (Billerica, MA) equaled her career-high with 16 points, converting six of eight field goals and four of four free throws.
Southern Maine senior guard Erin McNamara finished with a team-high 20 points despite missing six minutes in the first half with a left leg injury. She was 7-of-8 from the foul line.
Eastern hosts Keene State College Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
