Swimming: Men & Women are Unchallenged Against Regis College

 WESTON, Mass. – The Eastern Connecticut State University men's and women's swim teams combined to win 20 of 24 individual events and both relays in dual meet wins over Regis College Saturday in the second meet of the season in two days.
 
The women won 11 of 12 individual events while the men captured nine of 12.
 
For the women, five individuals were double winners in the team's 186.5-75.5 win. For the men, three individuals won two events each in a 186-81 victory.
 
Double winners for the women included two first-year swimmers: Cassandra Wentzell (Wallingford) in the 50 and 100 backstroke and Camille Attle (Bristol) in the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle. Also winning twice were junior captain Allison Ronan (Northbridge, MA) in the 200 freestyle and 200 individual medley, sophomore captain Natasha Frisch (Mendota Heights, MN) in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, and junior Maya Brody (East Granby) in the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly.
 
First-year swimmer Nico Iannucci (Parsippany, NJ), who broke two records in his debut Friday night at the University of Saint Joseph, won the 200 freestyle and 200 IM, while additional double winners included senior Nathan Melia (Manchester) and junior Connor Rego (Winsted). Rego won the 50 and 100 butterfly, breaking his own record in the 50 fly with a time of 25.17, while Melia won the 50 and 100 backstroke.
 
Eastern hosts Husson University Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in its home-opener.
