Pitcher-of-the-Week
Carley Stoker, Sr., Sandy Creek, NY
Won the award for the first time this year and is the second Eastern pitcher in two weeks to win the award. Senior right-hander won four games and saved the other two in the team's 6- 0 week which included a Little East Conference home sweep of UMass Boston. She won both games against UMB, pitching a complete game four-hitter in the opener and pitching the final 6 1/3 innings in relief after the Beacons had taken a 4-0 first-inning lead in the nightcap, throwing 210 pitches, 137 for strikes. In 29 innings, Stoker allowed only two earned runs (0.62 ERA) and 16 hits (14 singles), striking out 24 and limiting opponents to a .158 batting average. Stoker has appeared in 22 of the team's 28 games as a pitcher this year with an 11-1 record and three saves, a 1.77 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 82 innings.
In the LEC this year, the former LEC Pitcher-of-the-Year is first in saves, tied for first in wins, is third in ERA, and fourth in strikeouts.
The defending LEC regular-season and tournament champions have won 12 straight, are 20-8 overall, 10-0 in the conference and visit Rhode Island College Tuesday in an LEC doubleheader at 4 p.m. The Warriors hold a four-game lead in the standings over UMass Dartmouth, Castleton University and University of Southern Maine (all at 6-4), and, unofficially, need two wins to clinch no worse than a share of their tenth LEC regular-season title. Three wins will give them the outright title and make them the No. 1 seed and host for the LEC tournament May 10-13.

Rookie-of-the-Week
Alexa Vizzini, Fr., Vernon, NJ
Repeat winner of the award and third-time recipient this year.
Freshman midfielder led Eastern to two conference wins with 13 goals, two assists, four draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Against UMass Dartmouth, she equalled her season-high with seven goals and also won three draws. In the last three games – all LEC wins – she has totalled 20 goals and five assists and won five draws.
One of only two starting first-year players, Vizzini leads the team with 41 goals and 33 draws and is second with 48 points. She also has contributed 12 ground balls and caused nine turnovers.
In the LEC this year, she is seventh in goals – second among first-year players -- and eighth in points.
With two conference matches remaining against Western Connecticut (5-0 LEC) Wednesday at home and at Plymouth State University (4-1 LEC) Saturday, Eastern (5-8, 3-2 LEC) is in fourth place, a game out of third place and a game in front of fifth-place Keene State College. The Warriors are assured one of the six LEC playoff spots.
