WILLIMANTIC, Conn- The Eastern Connecticut State University men's and women's swimming teams hosted Regis College and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in their home-opener at the Sports Center, easily dispatching both under-staffed opponents. The women eased to a 175-85 victory over Regis and routed UMass Dartmouth, 203-39. The men swamped Regis, 201-38.

For the men, first-year
Zachary Beckham (Tolland) placed first in the men's 200 freestyle and was a part of winning the 200-yard freestyle relay. Joining Beckham in the relay was sophomore
Samuel Ainscough (Mystic), and first-year Eastern swimmers
Rafael Masbad (Ansonia), a senior, and sophomore
Eric Quiterio (Windsor).

 The men also won the 200-medley relay lead by senior
Ben D'Addario (Fairfield). D'Addario also was first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles with times of 23.21 and 51.57. First-year swimmer
Max Metlitski (Avon) was first in the 50- and 100-yard backstroke with a time of 27.22, while sophomore
Nico Iannucci (Parsippany, NJ) was first in the 50 breaststroke. First-year sophomore
Boden Tito (Southington) was victorious in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard butterfly.
Junior
Natasha Frisch (Mendota Heights, MN) led the women with wins in the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke and was a part of the first place 200-yard medley relay and the 200-freestyle relay. Joining Frisch in the 200-freestyle relay were sophomore
Camille Attle (Bristol), first-year swimmer
Sadie Tscheppe (Watertown) and sophomore
Stacey Sheno (Newington). Senior
Allison Ronan (Northbridge, MA) placed first for the 50-yard backstroke and 200-yard IM. Attle led the 50- and 100-yard butterfly with times of 29.05 and 1:05.16.
