WILLIMANTIC, Conn.- The Eastern Connecticut State University women's volleyball team faced Keene State College (7-10, 1-2) in a Little East Conference matchup and Westfield State University in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
The Warriors (9-5, 2-0 LEC) came in having won four straight matches and extended the streak to five with the four-set win over Keene State (8-10, 1-2 LEC)
before dropping a four-set non-conference decision to Westfield State (6-10).
Against Keene, the Warriors won the first and second sets before falling in the third. The Warriors came back to win the match in four, 25-23, 25-17, 16-25, 25-20 and defeat Keene for the fifth time in the last seven meetings, including the last four at Geissler Gym.

Emma Robinson (Westlake Village, CA) led the Warriors with 13 kills with sophomore middle

After being swept by Keene for the second time this year in the second match of the day, Westfield unveiled a completely different lineup that it had utilized against Keene, in handing Eastern its first home loss of the year and downing the Warriors for the third time in the last four meetings. Westfield won by scores of 25-22, 25-15, 22-25 and 26-24.
Against Westfield, Eastern attached at just .104 and committed nine reception errors. Defensively, the Warriors had no answer for Westfield junior Hanna Nihill, who shared game-high honors with 14 kills and led all players with a .462 attack percentage.

Eastern looks for its third straight LEC win when it visits Rhode Island College Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Warriors have won 13 straight against the Anchorwomen (9-3, 1-1 LEC), who were swept at home in an LEC match Saturday by Plymouth State University, ranked second in the LEC pre-season poll.
