Women's Volleyball: Seniors Take Center Spotlight in Regular-Season Home Finale

Set-by-set:
Set 1: With Vikings keeping pace early on, down 8-6, the Warriors went on a 14-2 run to put the set away. First-year player Allegra Copeland (Beaumont, CA) had three kills and two blocks in this 14-point stretch, which gave the Warriors a 22-8 lead. Two kills from junior Haley Jo Bridges (Montebello, NY) and a kill from junior Sierra York (Ashford) got Eastern  off to a great start on senior night.

Set 2: The second set was the best the Vikings played, featuring a pair of kills for both Khloe Camblin and Bella Coccia. The Warriors got back-to-back service aces through sophomore Ariah Davis (Raleigh, NC) as part of a four-point run that gave Eastern  a comfortable lead they were able to maintain.

Set 3: The third and final set showed similar patterns throughout the rest of the match, with the Warriors pulling away towards the latter end. First-year player Lauren Mosca (Glastonbury) took advantage of her opportunity, earning all four of her kills in the final set, including a service ace. Junior Maggie Barr (Easthampton, MA) contributed with three kills of her own, helping the Warriors cruise to a three-set win in their final home regular season match of 2025

  • Senior Samantha Blandford (Windham, NH) had two kills and no attack errors, two service aces and five digs
  • Senior Liz Squier (Trevor, WI) had three kills and no attack errors, three service aces (first was her 100th in her career), and a team-high nine digs
  • Squier's 20 set assists were four more than Salem State's team total
  • Eastern dominated at the net, with 16 block assists. Bridges led all players with five in the match

The Warriors (12-8, 4-3 LEC) are back in action against the University of Southern Maine (8-22, 1-6 LEC) Saturday at noon for their final Little East Conference match of the regular season, hoping with a win to nail down a first-round LEC tournament home game as a No. 3 or No. 4 seed on Tuesday.
 
Eastern enters the final day of the regular season sharing fourth place in the standings with Western Connecticut State University, both teams a game behind the University of Massachusetts Boston and a game up on Keene State College. Eastern holds the tie-breaker over both Keene State (five-set win) and WestConn (sweep) but will lose a tie-breaker with UMass Boston (five-set loss this past Saturday).
 
On Friday, WestConn visits Keene State and on Saturday, UMass Boston hosts Plymouth State University.
