Women's Volleyball: Warriors Tune Up For Key LEC Finale by Sweeping Salem

SALEM, Mass. -- Eastern Connecticut State University women's volleyball team cruised past Salem State University in a non conference matchup Tuesday evening at Twohig
Gymnasium. Set scores  were 25-18, 25-15, and 25-13.
 
The win is the 20th straight for Eastern over Salem in the 23-match history.
 
The Warriors (13-10) came into the day looking to extend the win streak coming off of a three-set victory over Bay Path University. Salem State (2-22) was looking for its first win since September 7.

The Warriors were led by first-year outside hitter Emma Robinson (Westlake Village, CA) with eight kills. and 13 digs. Robinson is fourth in kills and third in points in the Little East Conference. Sophomore Sierra York (Ashford) recorded five kills on ten attempts for a .500  hitting percentage. Junior Liz Squier (Trevor, WI) and first year setter Ariah Davis (Raleigh, NC) combined for 23 assists, 13 and 10 respectively. Squier is fifth in the conference with 491 assists.
 
The Warriors close out their regular season at Massachusetts Boston at the Clark Athletic Center Saturday at noon. The Beacons are third in the conference. The LEC playoffs begin Tuesday with first-round matches.
