Sauve drove in the first two runs of the first inning with her single to left and the third scored on a throwing error on a stolen base that allowed Vilchez to come home. The Warriors made it 4-0 in the fourth on Vilchez' two-out RBI single that sent in sophomore shortstop
Emma Morelli (Wateford), who had opened with a single, moved to second on senior rightfielder
Sarah Remillard's (Grafton, MA) sacrifice bunt and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Sophomore catcher
Maddy Bowen's (Hudson, NH) leadoff double and Marelli's two-out RBI single down the left field line upped Eastern's lead to 5-0 in the fifth.
Sophomore righty Lexus McIntosh (5-2) pitched her sixth complete game in eight starts for Southern Maine in the nightcap, benefiting from an offense which collected ten hits off four Eastern pitchers and was the recipient of three Eastern errors and six walks. Six batters who reached via walk or error eventually scored for the Huskies.
In the first inning of the nightcap, Southern Maine batted around, recording six hits, including a two-run double by Day and Migliorini's two-run homer – her first of the year.
Three of Eastern's second-game hits off McIntosh came in the last inning, with graduate third baseman

Remillard had a bunt single and scored in the first inning of the first game and an RBI single in the third inning of the nightcap to move her to within two of 100 hits in her career.
