MANSFIELD, Conn. -- The Eastern Connecticut State University women's soccer team commanded all 11 corner kicks in the match but came up empty on each as the Warriors and Keene State College played to a scoreless Little East Conference tie Saturday afternoon at Rick McCarthy Field.

Alex Ignatowicz (Coventry) recorded her first complete-match shutout, turning away four saves for Eastern (2-6-1, 0-1-1 LEC). The home match was the seventh in nine matches for Eastern, which is 1-5-1 at McCarthy Field. The Warriors stopped a three-game losing streak with the tie while Keene (3-5-2, 0-1-1 LEC) while the Owls extended their winless streak to seven (0-5-2) since opening the season with three victories.
Each team had eight shots as the team's played only their fourth tie in the 41-game history of the series. The scoreless tie was the third between the teams, first in 13 yeares. It marked the 26
th time that either or both teams were shut out in the series.
Junior Riley Andriski made five saves for Keene. In 360 minutes over seven appearances this year, Ignatowicz lowered her goals-against average to 1.25 and raised her save percentage to .848.
Eastern visits Rhode Island College Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a Little East match at Alumni Field.
