Women's Volleyball: Warriors (3-1 LEC) Look for Bounce-Back Conference Win

Series History:  
  • 81st meeting all time 
  • The Warriors lead the all time series 69-11, dating back to 1979  
  • Though Eastern and Rhode Island College first met in 1979, it wasn't until 16 years and 33 matches later that the two squads faced off as LEC opponents in 1995 
  • Eastern's 32 game win streak from 1986-2003 against the anchorwomen is one shy of the all-time record for consecutive wins against an LEC opponent in Women's volleyball. The Warriors dominated UMass Dartmouth from 1989-2009, winning 33 in a row. 
  • The Warriors current win streak of 14 against the anchorwomen is the longest active win streak against an LEC opponent in Women's volleyball.  
  • The Warriors have faced the anchorwomen more than any other LEC opponent all-time.

  • The Warriors are looking to bounce back from their first conference loss this season after starting out 3-0 in conference play  
  • The Warriors are currently tied for third place in the LEC, trailing defending LEC champion Plymouth State (4-1), and UMass Dartmouth (5-0).
