Noah Hauswirth led the Warriors in a stacked field at the Cardinal Invitational, setting a personal best of over a minute in the process. Fellow sophomore
Joey Caruk was another Warrior to earn himself a PR by over a minute, finishing just 18 seconds behind his teammate. Three through five for the Warriors were separated by just 11 seconds, with
Zachary D'Andrea running 27:17 for third on the team.
Hayden Baber finished his first 8k with the team in 27:22, while
Luke Dalton ran his first ever 8k in 27:28.
Ian Vasquez rounded out the depleted Warriors squad in 29:23. The Eastern Connecticut men finished 8
th in a field of 11 strong teams.

- Isabel Cintron (So.) – 24:20 (6:31 per mile) – 61st Overall

For back-to-back weeks, sophomore
Emely Melendez led the Warriors, running a personal best in the 6k with an impressive 24:02.
Isabel Cintron also ran a personal best, finishing closely behind in 24:20.
Meghan Georgescu was the third Warrior to finish under 25 minutes, running 24:51 in Eastern Connecticut's first appearance in this meet since 2012.
Keira Warner and
Kayla LaMalfa finished within 7 seconds of each other, running 26:21 (personal best) and 26:28 respectively.
Natalie Estabrook rounded out the squad in 28:10, running her first race at this distance. The women
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, October 4, when they travel to Keene, NH for the Keene State College Invitational. The men will race 8000 meters for the remainder of the season, while the women will race 5000 meters in Keene. This meet will serve as the Little East Conference Championship preview, giving Eastern Connecticut a chance to race the course they will return to on November 1. The Eastern Connecticut women finished 11
th in a strong field of 13.
