What is one of your most memorable moments or a memory you will cherish from your time with this program?
Cayden Boukus: Traveling to England with the team was definitely one of the most memorable moments I've experienced with this program. It was such a unique opportunity that I am grateful for and I got to spend that week with a group of amazing people.
Lex Edwards: Celebrating with the team after winning late against Plymouth.
Caiden Hettrick-Rivera: One of the most memorable moments in this program was traveling to England with the team my freshman year. It was such a great experience and opportunity!

Anton Smith: One of the most memorable moments from my time in the program is going to England. Having the opportunity to watch premier league and champions league games, playing local teams, and visiting a new country is one that I will never forget.

What has been the most rewarding part of being a member of this program?
Cayden Boukus
: Seeing others grow alongside with you, whether it's on the field as a player or off the field as a person.
Lex Edwards: Being able to work hard for the things we get and learning our set of core values which are important to implement beyond the program.
Caiden Hettrick-Rivera: The most rewarding part of being in this program is having a built-in family who you can learn and grow with.
Niall O'Brien: The most rewarding part of being an ECSU soccer player is the connections I've made with my coaches and teammates
Anton Smith: The most rewarding part of being a member of this program was forming friendships with many different people. Coming into the program, I wasn't sure how quickly I would connect with others, but it created an environment where it was easy to meet people with similar interests and goals. Those friendships have not only made the experience more enjoyable, but they've also given me a support system I can rely on both inside and outside the program.

How has this program shaped you as a person?
Cayden Boukus: This program has taught me how to be resilient, and how to be a leader when faced with hard times. It has also taught me about work ethic, nothing comes easy whether that's wins on the field or grades in the classroom.
Lex Edwards: The past three years of being part of this program has taught me the importance of taking responsibility and leading by example. I learned that getting little things right and being consistent with them can make a big difference and help improvement.
Caiden Hettrick-Rivera: This program has shaped me into a hardworking, flexible, and resilient person.
Niall O'Brien: The program has helped shape me into a person I can be proud of by teaching me how to work hard and how to overcome difficulties on and off the field.
Anton Smith: This program has shaped me as a person by teaching me the value of being part of a team. I've learned how important it is to listen to different perspectives, share responsibilities, and support one another to reach a common goal. Being on a team has helped me grow more collaborative, responsible and adaptable, and it's shown me that success is so much stronger when it's built together. I hope to take these skills into the real world.

What is a life lesson that you learned during your time with this program?
Cayden Boukus: A important life lesson that I learned is that you can't do it alone.
Caiden Hettrick-Rivera: A life lesson I learned from this program is to be flexible and manage your time correctly. You have to be adaptable.
Niall O'Brien: I learned that results come from the work done behind the scenes
Anton Smith: A life lesson I learned during my time with this program is that perseverance pays off. There were plenty of hard practices and tough games but being a part of this program taught me to push through these tough times. I realized that growth doesn't come from giving up when things get hard, it comes from staying committed and working together.

Coach Greg DeVito on the Senior Class: I think they've done a really solid job of leading as a group… they've been able to create a situation where they feel comfortable taking turns and stepping up as needed and taking care of the little details, and integrating the new guys, whatever it is that needs to get done, sort of quietly gets done without having to just go to one person…So it's a unique group that way…they hold themselves to a pretty high standard and they're a class act as a group.
