WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- For the fourth time in five weeks, Eastern Connecticut State University Women's Soccer found themselves regionally ranked, coming in at seventh for the second straight week in Tuesday's IWSOC Division III Coaches Poll in Partnership with the United Soccer Coaches Regional Poll.
The ranking comes after another unbeaten week for the Warriors, who took a 1-1 draw against WestConn in conference play on the road, their first in nine years, followed by a dominant 4-1 performance on Senior Day Saturday against UMass Dartmouth. Last week, first-year forward
Emily McKelvey scored three of the five Eastern goals, retaking the conference lead in goals scored and game-winning goals this year with 11 in 11 matches. McKelvey was named the Little East Conference's Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week on Monday for her performances.
Playing their final non-conference match of the season, Eastern will take on Worcester State University at Rick McCarthy Field tomorrow at 6:00 PM. The Warriors are 5-2-0 in the all-time series against the Lancers, defeating them last season on the road, 2-0, to avenge a 1-0 loss from the 2024 season at home.
