Game notes:
  • The Warriors are coming off a home doubleheader on Thursday against Trinity College in their first home games of their season. They shut out the Bantams in the first game thanks to a complete game shutout from Elizabeth Mitchell that was her second shutout in a week and 20th career win. In the second game, Trinity took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and won 9-2
  • The Huskies are coming off a home doubleheader Thursday against Saint Joseph's College of Maine in the first two home games of their season. Like the Warriors, Southern Maine split their doubleheader but lost the first game and won the second. Saint Joseph's scored five in the top of the fourth inning to win the first game 5-3. In the second game, a high-scoring sixth inning that featured five runs from Saint Joseph's (ME) and four from Southern Maine was enough to allow the Huskies to regain the lead and win 8-7
  • Springfield College has been the only common opponent of Eastern and Southern Maine so far this year. Southern Maine played them on March 15, losing on a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh inning in Kissimmee, FL, 3-2
  • The Warriors played a doubleheader against Springfield and lost the first game 5-3. All runs in that game were scored in the sixth inning. In the second game, the Warriors lost 13-12 in a game that only lasted six innings.
