This relay comprised of one sophomore and three first-year runners broke the program's 42-year-old record in the 4x100 relay with a time of 48.60 in a third-place finish at the Southern Conn. State U. Wilton Wright Invitational. Eastern's time was just .12 seconds behind second-place finisher Molloy University, a Division II institution. The old Eastern record was set at the 1984 nationals by Rolande Morisseau, Eastern Hall of Famer and All-America Judy Pemberton, Audra Jones and Elgitha Wilson. The Warriors finished fifth among 11 teams with 49 points at Wilton Wright. The Warriors host the annual Bonnie Edmondson Classic Friday at the Mansfield Outdoor Complex.
