WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The Eastern Connecticut State baseball team was recognized as a Team Academic Excellence Award winner, announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

The award honors teams that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. Eastern was one of two teams from the Little East Conference to earn the award, joined by UMass Boston. 

Nearly 500 collegiate programs were recognized with this year's award across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA.
