Coach LaBranche: “Brendan is a proven player at shortstop, so we’ll be relying upon him to be the everyday shortstop and to be solid defensively. He’s a guy who can hit at a variety of different spots in the lineup. He’s a middle-of-the-order RBI guy or maybe a No. 2 hitter. He’s probably our most consistent worker during our pre-season; he works hard every day and has a real passion for playing the game. We hope that he will be real infectious with his teammates.”
