2023: After seeing limited time in his first season in 2021 (12 innings in 12 relief appearances), returned as one of this year’s weekend starters en route to second-team all-region and All-Little East recognition… in a staff-high 12 starts, was 6-1 with a 2.97 ERA with 70 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings and allowed only two home runs and eight total extra-base hits… excepting his one loss when he was charged with four earned runs in 1/3 of an inning, had a 2.42 ERA... allowed less than three earned runs in nine of his starts… In his first seven starts, was 5-0 with a 1.54 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 41 innings... pitched his two complete games in consecutive starts against LEC opponents where he went the distance to defeat the University of Southern Maine for his second of two complete games in the first game of an April 15
th doubleheader… In his next start the following

week, went eight innings against the LEC regular-season champions of Rhode Island College... in the season-opener against Virginia Wesleyan University, allowed one hit over four innings for his first win as a starter in the regular season... a season-high for the right-handed pitcher came against Worcester State University, when he struck out 10 batters with only one walk… in the LEC regular season, was 4-1 with a 2.62 ERA in 34 ½ innings… ranked in the top ten in the LEC in starts (t-2

Before Eastern: Catcher who played baseball and football… freshman member of No. 32-seeded baseball team which won five tournament games en route to the 2017 CIAC Class “L” state title… Lyons knocked off No. 1 seed East Lyme, 9-4, in the opener and No. 7 conference opponent North Haven, 8-2, in the final… opened the season with a 1-11 record and the tournament at 7-13… won a tie-breaker to qualify for the tournament… prior to the title, the lowest-seeded team to win a state title in any sport had been No. 29 Portland in women’s soccer in 2014…
