Biography

Maddi SauveEnrolled at Eastern in the fall of 2022  after one year at Division II Southern Connecticut State University… in 2022, was second on the team with a .329 batting average (27-of-82) with 14 runs, 11 RBI and 28 assists for 18-21-1 Owls... committed errors in only two of 35 games... had a game-high  four hits with two runs and two RBI in the first game of a doubleheader with Southern New Hampshire University April 29...

2024:
- Second year member of the program, received second varsity letter
- Departmental Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award
- Little East Conference All-Academic
- Appeared in 43 games, starting all at second base
- Batted .273, with 22 rbis on 35 hits, 10 doubles, 2 home runs, scored 20 runs, and walked 10 times
- Slugged .398, had an on base percentage of .326, was perfect on stolen base attempts with 6, and had 106 putouts and 75 assists for a fielding percentage of .973
- Recorded 8 two hit games, 1 three hit game, 3 two rbi games, 1 five rbi game, a hitting streak of 4 straight games, and a reached based streak of 9 consecutive games
- Batted primarily in the middle of the lineup


2023:  Appeared in 22 games, making ten of her 12 starts at second base and batting primarily in the lower third of the order… batted .205 with 8 hits, 3 runs scored, one double, one triple, and 4 RBIs with a fielding percentage of 1.000 on 24 chances… in four games in the LEC tournament, reached safely seven times with three hits and three walks, including a double and triple and handled five chances without an error… drove in a run in her first at-bat in an Eastern uniform with a ground ball in the second game of the season March 12 against Concordia U.-TX… had a hit and RBI in the season-ending loss to Lebanon Valley Conference in the NCAAs… had ten of her assists in a span of three games against three different opponents beginning in late March… was a recipient of the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes Award…

Before Eastern: Played shortstop and catcher as a four-year starter of the softball program… also played four years on the volleyball team and started three years…helped softball team to conference championship in 2018 and 2019… won MVP for both softball and volleyball senior year… also won all academic awards for all four years of high school…
