Sean Lawlor joins the staff of head coach Mike Odenwaelder and will serve as an assistant baseball coach as well as first base coach, with his primary responsibilities being to assist with hitters, defensive positioning, and outfield defense.

Lawlor joins the program after one season in 2024 as assistant baseball coach at Division III College of Wooster, where he worked with outfielders and hitters and coached first base.

A native of Boca Raton, FL, Lawlor played four seasons (2017-2020) as an outfielder under veteran head coach David Barnett at Division II Flagler College. As a four-year starter in the outfield, he played in all but 10 games in his 146 game career as a Saint. He hit .291 (152-for-523) with 36 doubles, 17 home runs and 107 RBI. Lawlor also played at Division I University of Maine in 2021 where, as a graduate transfer, Lawlor hit .350 (55-for-157) over 44 starts, and had 37 RBI, 35 runs, nine doubles, and seven home runs.

In 2019, Lawlor earned Futures Collegiate Baseball League  (FCBL) Most Valuable Player honors as a member of the North Shore Navigators coached by FCBL Coach-of-the-Year Mike Odenwaelder.Â

 As a professional, Lawlor played for the Lake Erie (OH) Crushers in the Frontier League in 2023, where he was an infielder. In 2022, Lawlor played for the Eastside Diamond Hoppers  (MI) in the United Shore Professional Baseball League.

Lawlor earned an MBA from the University of Maine and a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from Flagler College.Â
