In his second season with the coaching staff in 2026 after one season as a volunteer assistant, Zion Walker will serve as assistant coach and as director of operations.
Walker was a four-year collegiate baseball player, playing the 2021 season at Division II University of Tampa before a three-year career after enrolling in January of 2022 at Eastern, where he was a member of three NCAA tournament teams – as well as the 2022 national title team -- and two Little East Conference tournament championship teams. He was also enrolled at Kennesaw State University in the fall of 2020.
A native of Atlanta, Walker appeared in four games out of the bullpen at Eastern, allowing one earned run while striking out five without a walk.
In 2025, Walker earned his B.S. Degree in Sport Management with a concentration in marketing.
