Springfield, Massachusetts native Michael Choquette joins the Eastern men’s soccer coaching staff under head coach Greg DeVito.
Choquette currently coaches and is a facility assistant at Oakwood Soccer Club in Glastonbury. He is a coach for the Youth Training League, boys ages 6-8, and manages communications between two soccer programs.
While studying abroad in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, Choquette was the head coach for the School of Design soccer team where he managed a group of 20 players.
At the University of Chicago, the midfielder started 34 of the 50 games in which he appeared, with nine goals and nine assists. He was named to the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) team all four years, as UAA Rookie-of-the-Year in 2011 and to the UAA 30th Anniversary Team.
As a senior at Chicago in the fall of 2014, Choquette helped the team to the UAA championship – up from sixth place in 2013 -- an overall record of 12-6-2 and into the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Choquette graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations in 2015.
